COACH Jamie Grimes began swimming year-round for the Rockville-Montgomery Swim Club at the young age of 8. He has since swum competitively for RMSC for 18 years. He was the head coach of the Advanced Senior Group from the fall of 2004 to the 2025. He is currently the head coach of the National Training Group at KSAC. While at the University of Virginia, Jamie was a 3-time All-American. He is a two-time US Olympic Trials qualifier in the 1500M Freestyle, finishing 5th in 2000. In his second year as the WJ Swim and Dive head coach, Jamie was awarded The Washington Post All-Met Coach of the Year, an honor he again earned for the 2011-2012 and 2024-2025 seasons. He has also been awarded Gazette All-County Coach of the Year three times in his tenure since 2003.
